ANS - Prairies are wide, flat grasslands with few trees. Mostly found in central North America (U.S.A & Canada).

ANS - Coyotes and prairie dog
Q3 Saima travels to the DRC with her family via ship. Why does she not option for a car or bus?
ANS - Saima goes by ship because the DRC (Democratic Republic of the Congo) is across the sea. A car or bus cannot travel on water, but a ship can.

Q 1. What are the geographical features of the Prairies?
Ans- The Prairies are large grasslands found mainly in North America, especially in the United States and Canada.
They are called the “Wheat basket of the world” .
Geographical features:
The Prairies are mostly flat and treeless plains.
The soil is very fertile, which makes it good for farming.
The region has hot summers and cold winters.
Rivers like the Mississippi and Missouri flow through the Prairies.
Q 2. Why do we call tropical rainforests the “lungs of the Earth”?
Ans- 1.The trees in rainforests take in carbon dioxide and give out oxygen, which we need to live.
2.They produce more than one-third of the world’s oxygen.
3.The thick forests also clean the air and control the Earth’s temperature.
4.They provide a home to many plants, animals, and birds.
