🌍 Flora and Fauna in the North Pole (Arctic Region)
The North Pole is very cold, snowy, and covered with ice most of the year. Because of this, not many plants and animals can live there.
🌱 Flora in the North Pole:
- No big trees grow there because the soil is frozen.
- Only small plants grow in summer when snow melts a little.
- Examples: mosses, lichens, small shrubs, and grasses.
🐾 Fauna in the North Pole:
- Animals have thick fur or fat (blubber) to stay warm.
- Common animals: polar bears, Arctic foxes, reindeer (caribou), seals, walruses, snowy owls, and Arctic hares.
- In the sea: whales and different kinds of fish.
✅ In short:
- North Pole flora = very few small plants (no big trees).
- North Pole fauna = many cold-loving animals like polar bears and seals.
